Monumental Water Sculpture

Rex Bass’ towering copper water sculptures are anchored in a concrete base with aluminum basins for the water. Customs orders are available or leave it to the artist. For parties or events, Rex also freezes water to his sculpture creating a sculpture within a sculpture. The ice sculpture melts slowly revealing the copper sculpture beneath. Rex creates themes with the ice sculptures such at the Margarita with lime slices frozen to the copper beneath the ice. As the ice melts the limes “pop” off the copper as it expands & contracts due to the cold.
